Virtual Concert Hall

With our member organisations' concerts being cancelled or postponed because of the Coronavirus lockdown, we hope that these links to online performances, musical anecdotes, etc. will provide some entertainment, amusement or light relief!


With musicians not able to perform or earn money, many are in financial difficulties. The pianist Duncan Honeybourne has started a contemporary piano soundbites series to raise money for the Help Musicians UK Coronavirus Hardship Fund.

Duncan has made a CD of the pieces he commissioned and played during lockdown.

Peter Hewitt

The pianist Peter Hewitt will be familiar to many in Plymouth. He has recorded some movements of Beehoven sonatas on the Bösendorfer piano in his home studio.

Peter Cigleris

Peter was one of the first graduates of PMA's Young Musicians' Platform and has now carved out a successful career as clarinet soloist and ensemble performer. On 22nd March Peter and Mark Bebbington were due to play the fifth of Five Pieces for Clarinet, by Clive Jenkins, for the WarChild concert, sadly postponed. On this link you can hear Peter perform this piece with Antony Gray.

Well known to Plymouth audiences as violin soloist and as leader of the Chamber Ensemble of London.

Mount Kelly Chamber Choir

Crowned national champions at the School Choir of the Year Competition at the Royal Festival Hall in London. The piece below features recent YMP graduate Indira Falle.
